Rian Johnson has officially announced the third installment in the successful Knives Out movie franchise. Daniel Craig will once again return as Benoit Blanc to solve a mystery. Knives Out 3 trailer and release date also released!
Knives Out 3: Wake Up Dead Man trailer to be released in 2025
Johnson shared a short trailer on his social media accounts and revealed that Wake Up Dead Man will be released in 2025 and Craig will return to the franchise as Detective Benoit Blanc.
Daniel Craig is heard saying in the trailer, “At the beginning of the storm, knives came out. Then, voila, glass shattered. But my most dangerous case is yet to be revealed.” Story details are yet to be revealed.
The first Knives Out movie earned 312 million dollars at the box office with a budget of only 40 million dollars. The second film, Glass Onion, received a one-week theatrical run and a Best Adapted Screenplay nomination at the 95th Academy Awards before being released on Netflix.
The first movie was named after a Radiohead song. Glass Onion is a song from The Beatles’ White Album and there are plenty of Beatles references in the movie. Wake Up Dead Man is one of the songs from the 1997 U2 album Pop.
